Today while I was driving I hear news about the new services Google is offering and I have to say they are very interesting. As Amazon did a while ago, Google announced a new service that allows users to stream music they own from Google servers instead of saving them on their smart phones. Years ago I remember making jokes with my friend saying someday someone would come up with a machine that would allow us to kiss over the internet, and it seems like it happened! A japanese lab claims to have created this machine that will allow people to "french kiss" over the internet. Pretty interesting... I wonder whats next =)

Facebook will be paying money for ppl who watch their adds

Facebook came up with a program to reward users that watch certain adds with 10 cents on Facebook Credits, which can be used to buy goods on Facebook Deals. They also say their adds will be different. That people will want to watch it and share it with friends and family. I am very excited to check it out. As for Android I would like to share a link with information of the most useful Android apps according to Pc World. I have tried a few of the apps in the list, but I will for sure try many others I have not yet. What I am sure of is that google maps is fantastic! iPhone 5

I have been researching about the iPhone5 and I have read in a few websites that it's release date is supposed to be around this September. The only thing that is still making me a bit confused is what is so new about the iPhone so that we have an iPhone 5 coming up? Is it all about it's new shape and a few little improvements or is there something bigger not yet mentioned? I guess we will all have to wait and see. Verizon, the nation's largest wireless provider announced recently that they will not be offering the two years contract anymore after april 17th. The reason they gave is that most costumers sign up for the two years contract anyways. So, what do you think? Is their reason valid or is it only a new way to make more money?

So, here is my question... what is your favorite game ever? It can be any kind of game, you choose it. Well, Im going to share with you guys my favorite game ever. It is called Lineage II and I played it for over 3 years. I did take a break from it because I had to focus on my life, and you know when you love playing a game too much it is hard to balance. Wireless Chargers

What if it was possible to have one only charger for many different devices? Yeah, now it is possible with the wireless chargers available in the market. The traditional chargers are based on conductive charging, which uses a wire or contact with batteries. On the other hand, the new techonology is based on inductive charging that uses magnetic and electromagnetic energy to induce a transfer of power wiressly. Of course the device you look forward to charging wiressly has to have the inductive charging built in, and you will be good to go. You can find a few good wireless chargers in the market priced from $25.00 and $100.00. Duracell and Energizer are two of the wireless chargers makers.

The new Nintendo 3DS  was recently released on March 27th, and it is the very first 3D portable glassesfree handheld. I have been reading about the new 3DS and was wondering how much it would cost, and I honeslty think that the $250.00 that was stablished is not that bad. The Nintendo DSi, the version prior 3DS is priced at $150.00 as if right now so it will jump an extra $100 for the new version of the Nintendo DS. How do you feel about it? Would you purchase one? I cant wait to see it around!

I was kinda surprised when I first heard about the new Motorola Atrix 4G, and nowadays I just want to read more and more about it. The new Motorola Atrix 4G offers the mobility of a phone, and the usability of a laptop in one only product. It has the first dual-core-processor phone from AT&T, and can be attached to a laptoplike base. The Atrix 4G runs Android 2.2, has a full HTML 5 browser, and supports HD video. It also rocks 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, figerprint recognizer, and a powerful battery. What I have been wondering is that if this technology is going to be something that will stay in the market for a while and become a success or if it will just disappear in a few months. What do you think?

Secure file sharing for two pcs => iTwin

This little and cute device that looks like a funny USB flash drive is in reality a peer-to-peer file sharing gadget made by a company also called iTwin. It can be devided in two pieces and each piece should go on one pc and they communicate creating a wireless connection in between them. The cool part about it is the 256-bit AES encryption. The iTwin can be purchased by $99, which I think is pretty reasonable price.

Android leads the smartphone market over iPhone and BlackBerry (yeah, Im a Android user)!

I believe that the fact that iPhones are not taking over the whole smartphone market is a great thing, that way we have competition and new techs and apps coming along all the time. I am a Android user and I do not see myself using an iPhone or BlackBerry anytime soon, not because I have something againts it but just because Im totally happy with my Android device. On another hand, I have several friends who have iPhones and Blackberries and would not switch. Are you and Android, BlackBerry or iPhone user? What are your thoughts?

The new iPad

Apple announced that their second version of the iPad is coming out on march the 11th, and it has a lot of good improvements. The new iPad is as interesting as the new Motorola Xoom, with the price advantage. The new Motorola Xoom is being sold at $799,00 without contract, and the new iPad will be sold at an starting price of $499,00. I know that the new Motorola Xoom was released first and looks just awesome, but Im not quite sure what will happen when the new iPad is available. It is hard to imagine that people would pay $300,00 more for the Motorola Xoom, on top of not preferring the new iPad just for the sake of it. I guess we will have to wait and see. I'm posting the specifications for the two versions of iPads so that we can compare them, and its also worth it to watch the video on the link below. So today I went to BestBuy specially to check out the new Xoom, the motorola tablet that runs Honeycomb, a new version of Google’s Android operating system designed especially for tablets. The new Xoom is being compared to the iPad, and it has already been showing some advantages. While the iPad has no camera, the new Xoom has front and rear cameras. It also offers better speakers, higher screen resolution, 32gb on memory, it can later this year be upgraded for free for the Verizon's 4G network, and it rocks a dual-core processor. Does not it sound amazing? However, when we talk about price the new Motorola Xoom is not the more affordable tablet. While the starting price for the iPad is $499, the new Xoom is being sold at $799 without contract. How do you think this competition will be like? Which tablet is your favorite and why?

Intel Corp. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) have been competing on the market for years, and it seems there is a lot more to come. As of the end of 2010 Intel held 80.4% of the global microprocessor revenue, while AMD had 11.52%. People and reviewers have different opnions about both processors companies, as well as the processors performance versus price. When I try to talk to people about it, what I realize is that some information is just speculation or that is passed through withouth much foundation. Some people say they are attracted to AMD because it is more affordable, others just have been using it for a while and got used to it. On another hand some people say they preffer Intel for it's gaming performance, stabilty and because they do not want to take a chance on trying AMD and regreating. So, here I ask; what is your opnion about AMD and Intel? Which company is your favorite and why? Do you know any other myths?

Protect yourself on Public Wi-Fi

     Many people expose their data and security information when using public Wi-Fi, and are not even aware of it. When using the open Wi-fi at a coffee shop, restaurants, libraries we have to keep in mind that everyone else who owns a Wi-Fi capable device can connect to the network, and this person might not be there for legit reasons. What happens is that public Wi-Fi spots usually make no use of passwords, which means that the information exchanged among your computer and the network can be floating aroung unencrypted. One way of protecting the wireless network would be setting a passoword on your wireless  router to encrypt the information. However, it would be safe if only known and trusted users had access to the key to the network, because whoever have access to the password will be capable of snuffing around if wanted to. Using your email or bank account, viewing documents or important information are things we naturally do when online, and on public Wi-Fi all that could be compromised. Being aware of what is happening around us is extremely important, specially when the threaten can not be seen.

Extra caution when using Wi-Fi hotspots is never too much. Even people with very little knowledge and hacking skills can snoop your wireless traffic information. Firesheep is a Firefox plug-in developed by security reseachers to point the vunerability of the Wi-Fi hotspots, and as you can imagine it worked quite well. I will post a video to show how it works, so that we can have a better picture of what really happens. On another hand as a way of protecting yourself you can use the Blacksheep, which is another Firefox plug-in developed to let you know when the firesheep is in use on the network you are connected. The blacksheep will not prevent your information for being snooped, but you will at least be aware that someone has the firesheep plug-in on around you.
